When I had my little boy we had only recently moved to Cotgrave. I didn't have any friends close by and felt quite isolated with a new baby and my partner at work.

I first heard about Sure Start by a member of staff at the weigh-in clinic and whilst it took me I while to gain the courage to go we eventually started attending a few of the groups.

I'm so glad we did! All the groups were very welcoming and friendly, it was so lovely to chat with the mums and staff and get advice and support when we needed it. My little boy loved going to the groups and playing with other children the same age, it really helped to build our confidence too.

Now I have a little girl too and we've recently started attending some of the baby groups. She loves interacting with the other babies and having messy play time and the groups are as friendly and welcoming as ever. We even attended baby massage this time and I've found it so useful for relaxing her and easing any tummy problems she has.

A huge thankyou to all the staff at the childrens centre!

Dear Service family

Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback on your experiences with the Rushcliffe East Children’s centre team. As a service we endeavour to ensure that families are made to feel welcome at our groups, and the children have as much fun as possible!

It can very daunting for parents to access services especially when they move into a new area, so it gives me pleasure to hear that we have enabled you to gain confidence to come to groups, so much so, you have come back with your second child.

I will ensure that the team hear about your positive feedback, I know it will give them a boost.
