About: Manchester Royal Infirmary

My sister was on Ward 3 and 4 and was very ill with septicemia from an infection in her pacemaker She was discharged in January and was told she would get appointment for Out Patients in 6 weeks We are still waiting We've no contact numbers to ring to sort this out and not even got a Drs name who she was under. Anyone any ideas who we would ring?. She had a scan 4 weeks ago so needs the results . I thinks it's disgraceful after she's been so ill

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn that your sister did not receive clear advice regarding her discharge arrangements and arranging a follow up outpatient, as this is certainly not the level of service we expect to deliver.

If you contact the Manchester Heart Centre device secretary on 0161 2766 675, they will be able to provide your sister with the information she requires and support her to arrange the necessary outpatient appointment.
