What I liked
The ward was spacious and very clean.
What could be improved
I cannot fault the pre-op care I received by nurses and doctors, however when I was a patient on the ward, some of the nursing staff seemed to be void of any compassion. I wasn't afforded any dignity or privacy, and felt I was a nuisance if I needed help. It was actually quite a distressing experience. However, saying that the night staff were efficient, calm and caring - they treated me like a person.
Anything else?
If you have had bowel surgery, as lots of us had, the food is not going to help in your recovery!
