Went for a blood test on Wednesday 8th April. The previous patients were calling numbers for the next person. The phlebotomist who took the blood did not read the notes correctly and used the wrong vial. Having to have the blood taken again I wanted to ensure that it was not by the same person - have tried to contact the hospital from approx. 11:00 am to 3:00pm but no answer in the Phlebotomy Depart - I did on one occasion speak to a receptionist who kept I am only the receptionist. Apparently there was no one in the department. I have signed a petition previously to keep it open but now think it is a waste of money and probably better turned over to the private where a better service can be provided. It does not appear to be busy enough to justify keeping it open.
