What I liked

I was seen within two weeks of my consultation & could have been seen earlier. I had a minor operation on my toe.I cannot praise the Day Care Unit & the orthopaedic surgical team highly enough. Every member of staff was so efficient & very pleasant. I was kept informed during every stage of my op. Nothing was too much trouble for them. This really helped me as I have a fear of hospitals & was frankly terrified. I can't speak for other departments but from my experience Wycombe General does not deserve its reputation as a 'bad' hospital.

What could be improved

My only criticism is that there should be a small room dedicated to patient/doctor pre op discussions. You cannot help but hear every patients' intimate details being relayed to the surgeon before their respective operations. Can be a bit embarrassing for both parties.
