"Occupational therapist was helpful and kind"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / Occupational Therapy University Hospital Wishaw / Rheumatology

(as the patient),

I have rheumatoid arthritis. I went for an exercise programme with Jenna Brown at Wishaw Hospital for my hands and wrist.

I found her very helpful and very kind. She told me how to exercise my fingers and wrists so as not to damage my hand anymore.

Dear caly,

Thank your for your positive comments about the rheumatology occupational therapy service at Wishaw General Hospital.

I am delighted that Jenna treated you in a caring and compassionate way, as I'm sure this would help you to relax and fully appreciate any new information provided. I will enure that I feedback your comments to the Occupational Therapy team, as this will help other people who may be anxious or concerned about their forthcoming appointment.

It can be overwhelming when you are given lots of new information and I am pleased that Jenna was able to assist you to care for your joints and to help give you advise regarding the appropriate exercises that would help to allevaite pain.

I wish you continued progress with the management of your rheumatoid arthritis.

With thanks

Janice
