"Admission to A&E24.03.2015 following a treadmill..."

The admission process was quick with little waiting and was very thorough with all the examinations I would expect. I was well looked after and kept informed at all times. I entered A&E at about 8pm and by 11pm I was in bed in the AMU (acute medical unit). The procedure was quick, efficient and I was treated with care and consideration throughout. I was moved to Holmwood ward and given an angiogram and, ultimately, on the 31st, fitted with two stents. I was discharged on the following day. I have nothing but praise for the medical and personal attention I received throughout. The doctors took the time to explain, in terms that I could understand, what was happening and guided me through the information to help me make a choice about my treatment. The technical skill that I received in the angio unit I thought was of the highest quality and I could not have wished for better and it was delivered by such nice and caring people.. The quality of the nursing staff was superb and it was interesting to see a multi-national team working so well together. All in all, it was an eye opener for me showing me the highest level of compassionate professionalism. that my local hospital can provide. I know the NHS and the East Surrey Hospital has come in for a deal of hard criticism. I hope that this reference will go a little way to correcting the balance. It was a real demonstration of what the NHS can do when the need is there and I will be forever in debt to a number of people in the East Surrey team.
