"The staff are all good to me"

About: Lings Bar Hospital / Inpatient nursing and rehabilitation Queen's Medical Centre / General medicine

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I like Lings Bar (Castle Ward) and the QMC.

Some of the food is good and some isn't. They do ham and pineapple lovely. I don't like fish pie or in a sauce. I like it in batter best.

The staff are all good to me. I can hold my own with anyone who is not good and they come round. They have to stick to their rules and regulations.

I have my favourite nurses ............makes me laugh, spoils me rotten. The male nurses are marvellous.

I'm pleased that you have enjoyed some of the food here, we are currently reviewing our menus - so feedback is always useful.

I'm also delighted you feel the staff are good to you, and that you feel you could say if not.

Staff do need to comply with hospital rules, but im pleased you have experienced staff who can make you laugh.

Following feedback via Patient Opinion regarding the food service at Lings Bar Hospital we have had a joint working group between patient representatives, Facilities, inpatient staff, dietician and speech & language therapist to review and improve our patient menus and meal ordering system.

Monday 30 November 2015 sees the launch of new menus and a new ordering system - we hope that the new food choices will aid recovery and enhance patient care and experience.
