"Caring staff"

About: Wansbeck Hospital

I had a pacemaker inserted on the 1/04/2015 from arriving I was so well looked after the doctor has been outstanding from the day they adviced regarding the pacemaker to the actual operation. The staff were excellent before the op and the staff and doctors on ward 3 were fantastic . This was my first stay in a hospital since giving birth to my son 31 years ago and I was really apprehensive.but I was made to feel very comfortable . To many people are quick to down the NHS but they work so hard for the little they get .Also the domestics work very hard washing beds and changing them to washing polishing floors and dishing out the meals . Well done to everyone and a big thank you.

Dear Pam, I am delighted that you have enjoyed such good health that you have had no reason at all to be in hospital over the last 31 years - I can appreciate why you felt a little apprehensive about returning. Our staff will have understood this too and I'm glad they did all they could to help you relax and feel confident that you were in the right place to receive excellent care. Thank you for acknowledging all that our teams do every day - it means the world to them when patients and families give them feedback like this. We will be sure to pass on your thoughtful review to all concerned including our hardworking domestic team. Wishing you all the very best as you recover, Annie
