I went in on the 07.04.15 for an out patient surgical gyno procedure with the doctor. On arrival I was booked in fairly quickly and prepared for surgery, doc came round before hand to go over the procedure, their knowledge and confidence about the procedure was extremely reassuring. I was then taken into theatre by a lovely, cheerful, kind nurse and was made very comfortable and felt relaxed by the team anaesthetising me. The same nurse was with me in recovery which helped me feel at ease. On the channel day ward the staff were all amazing, I wish I could remember their names....I was in a lot of pain and after seeing the doctor again. I was admitted to the Kennington ward for an overnight stay. I found all the staff very attentive and so cheerful and kind. I was very impressed to see the level of kindness a particular member of staff used when dealing with the elderly patients on the ward, I overheard them telling relatives that they were being spoilt which I thought was great! I even found the food nice! There was a lovely person who brought round hot drinks and biscuits. Apart from the pain (which was well managed) it was a surprisingly pleasant stay. Thank you so much to all involved! You're heroes!
"Amazing, compassionate staff!"
