I was "blue lighted" to Wolverhampton from Telford with a heart attack and from the moment I arrived at the hospital the care I was given was exemplary - from the consultants, nursing staff, right down to the students and tea staff. I can honestly say that the terrifying experience was made bearable by all the professionals involved. The paramedics on the ambulance were excellent (although I had to ask my daughter at a later date whether I had hit someone because of my badly bruised hand), apart from the difficulty at finding a suitable vein. They managed in the end though. The paramedics were right when they said the Cardiology unit at New Cross, Wolverampton was the best place I could be taken. I would like to thank each and every one of you who were involved.
"One very grateful lady"
