About: North Tyneside General Hospital

My 18yr old son became very ill on Good Friday. He was brought in by ambulance and was dealt with very quickly by very kind, despite being very busy, staff. He needed emergency surgery and he was very distressed. I can't praise the nurses and doctors on ward 6 enough! They went above and beyond to make not only my son feel reassured and cared for but ourselves too. I would like to pass on my gratitude to the staff on ward 6 for their professional, kind, and caring attitudes. Also to the A&E staff and the surgeon who operated on him

Dear Sir / Madam, How frightening for you all - it can't have been easy to watch your son being brought in to hospital in these circumstances. It is lovely to know that he received all the care he needed, from A&E through to ward 6, and that this care was delivered in just the right way, with kindness, compassion and professionalism.
