Referred by ambulance after seeing my GP with a weak arm and a partial loss of feeling in one hand. Assessed by the paramedics at home and then more fully at the hospital with no appreciable delay. Assessed by an A&E doctor and then a consultant. Sent for a CAT scan and a chest X Ray. Half an hour later we had a diagnosis and a treatment recommendation. Fortunately it was pressure on a nerve rather than a stroke. However, the speed of diagnosis matched that appropriate for a possible stroke. Excellent service on what was a busy evening
"Investigation for a possible stroke. Excellent..."
