What I liked

I underwent an aortic aneurysm repair EVAR.

Although I had complications ie septacaemia and atril fibrilation after, the staff were excellant from the ward orderlies to the consultants. Both my wife and I were well cared for and couldn't ask for better care anywhere else.

What could be improved

The Chaplaincy team maybe could be more aware of patients needs.Even though I was very unwell on the Sunday taking communion in bed, no one came to visit me until the Friday when I was being discharged

Anything else?

My wife was kept informed all the way through my stay which was a very stressful time for her.Nothing was too much trouble for any member of the staff.

And what a help it was for my wife to be able to stay in the lodge and to be on hand in case of any problems.
