"the staff in the whole of the ..."

About: Musgrove Park Hospital (Taunton)

(as the patient),

What I liked

the staff in the whole of the maternity unit were fantastic. I had a complicated pregnancy and postnatal period but Fern ward, delivery suite and Willow ward were all fantastic. They were incredibly supportive and nothing was too much trouble. 10 days after delivery my son was admitted to Acorn ward for 6 days very unwell and once again completely first rate care. I would not have coped with any of what was going on without their incredible support. Also the aneathetists during my delivery and postnatal complications were great as well.

What could be improved

The theatre boots my husband wore during my delivery could have done with being cleaned.... not sure but they may have had dried blood on them. That was the only negative.

Anything else?

I can never say thank you enough for everything Musgrove has done for us.

Thank you for your very thoughtful and kind comments about your time at Musgrove. The staff in the Maternity Unit were very touched by what you wrote.

The housekeepers on the unit are reponsible for checking that theatre boots are thoroughly cleansed before use and the Matron on the unit has spoken to them about the importance of double checking that this is done effectiveley. She wil be monitoring this closely.

Thank you again for taking the time to comment.
