What I liked
The staff were brilliant
Food was quite good
Room was cleaned quite frequently
Megan was overjoyed at the availability of toys on the Kingfisher Ward and the fact that there was a playleader encouraging painting. The Play Leader even found some special water bottle paints for my daughter as she was only a year and a half and not very good with the small brushes.
The staff were very good with my daughter although she is still very scared of nurses (not through any fault of theirs - she just associates them with the drip!)
We were also issued with a free parking ticket for the duration of my daughters stay as i was sleeping over with her. The cut price vouchers we were issued for food in the canteen were much appreciated as we were on holiday when she got sick!
What could be improved
At one point in the very early hours when i was cuddling my daughter while she was having her morning drip i got 'told off' by one of the nurses because the drip machine made a noise which it didnt usually therefore called a nurse to check on it. I felt really embarrassed to call them after that
Anything else?
I d like to say a huge thank you to all teh Kingfisher ward staff. Megan has just had her 2nd birthday and other than the nurse phobia is a lovely happy little girl again! thanks!
