What I liked
I live in Scotland but had travelled south as my mother was ill, sadly she had died before I arrived. I had been quite ill for some time and was jaundiced, my bloods were critical and my doctor told me I must get to hospital immediately and so I ended up on Abbotsbury Ward, devastated, distraught and frightened.
The staff were magnificent, unfortunately I only remember the name of one of the nurses, who comforted and protected me. All the staff were brilliant and so kind. One nurse sat with me when I thought I had reached the end of my tether and could take no more. They sat with me and held my hand, spoke words of comfort until at last I fell asleep. Thanks also to the sister who understood my reluctance to go to Mum's funeral, that fear of the final farewell.
You were all amazing. This thank you is a little late, but I want you to know that I will never, never forget your wonderful kindness and compassion.
Keep up the good work and God bless you all.
