"mixed up my lumbar puncture result"

About: Colchester General Hospital

I had a lumbar puncture and one neurologist said I had it and one said I didn't and now I don't know where I am and I've been waiting for weeks for an appointment to see one or both of the two but the secretaries never answer their phones due to staff shortages the message says whenever I ring. Not good enough by a long way. I have always believed whole heartedly in this hospital but my loyalty is wavering somewhat. How can I be left with no deceit for all this time when the option are MS or dementia at just 43 years old? How would they like to be on the receiving end of what I've endured due to their incompetence? Am lost totally and awaiting their say so on where my life goes next. They don't care though because after all it isn't them!!!!! Heart breaking.

I apologise you’ve not had a good patient experience. We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients, their relatives or carers. We would like the opportunity to discuss your experiences more fully and to apologise in person. If you are willing I would appreciate it if I could ask the matron to contact you. Could you email me, using the reference “Comment on Neurology at at 06/04/2015 14:12:40”, please? Many thanks Paul Searle, Head of Communications Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust info@colchesterhospital.nhs.uk
