"Riding Accident"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

This was my first ever visit to a hospital for myself and I cannot praise the staff and doctors highly enough for their efficient and courteous treatment I received. I had had a bad fall from my horse whilst warming up for a competition and had some memory. Blackburn A&E carried out blood tests, blood pressure monitoring and CT scan - during each of the stages I was kept updated on progress and what was likely to happen next. The building was spotlessly clean and light and airy. I felt I was being really well cared for and wish to thank all the staff who were involved in my case on the day. I couldn't have been in better hands.

Dear Anonymous Many thanks for your feedback on your experience of our Accident and Emergency Department at Royal Blackburn Hospital, and thank-you for taking the time to do so. I must apologise for the lateness of this response, I did send one on the 7th April which NHS Choices did not register so am sorry that this is a little later than I planned it to be. I will make sure your appreciation is passed onto the team who will be very pleased to hear that your recent experience with us was really positive as we always strive to deliver safe, personal & effective care. If you would like to talk through your visit to us with one of our Patient Experience team so we can understand the bits of your experience that made this such a good visit for you we would really value this so that we can try to make it like this for every patient visiting our hospitals and services. You can either contact me (Wendy Stobbs) on 01254 734471 or email me on wendy.stobbs@elht.nhs.uk. Or if you would like to share your experience in confidence with an independent organisation please contact Healthwatch BwD on 01254 504985 or info@healthwatchblackburnwithdarwen.co.uk Many thanks again for commenting and best wishes on your continued recovery Wendy Stobbs, Senior Patient Experience Facilitator
