"EPU scan"

About: Barnet Hospital

I was 9 weeks pregnant when I started to bleed. I called the midwife and she told me to go to my nearest hospital (I was at work and so went to one in central London). I was told to have a follow up scan to see if I had miscarried or not. The dr gave me a referral letter and asked me to call barnet EPU to arrange a follow up scan. I went home distressed and called the unit. They refused to accept it and i had to go thru my dr to get an appointment (who called while I was present and they also gave them grief). I went to my appointment and there was no care at all. I had spent the week worrying and praying that all was ok. I had signs that I was still pregnant and had not passed the sac. During my appointment they said absolutely nothing and gave no reassurance whatsoever. Afterwards they told Me I had nothing inside and it had all gone. As you can imagine, my heart sank. This was miscarriage number 3. They said they had nothing else to do with me and I left empty. I picked myself up over the following 10 days. Still suffering from miscarriage symptoms. Then last night I felt something. I had passed the sac. The very sac they told me I had already passed. I now doubt everything they had said. Had I still been pregnant and they missed it. Deeply concerned about the state of their abilities at that hospital. There has been no follow up care. I have been left to find things out for myself on the Internet.
