"Total Knee Replacement"

About: Northern General Hospital

Just over six weeks ago I had a knee replacement. I never thought it would be so painful or hard to move about. Every one of the nurses and other staff could not have been more helpful and understanding. Nothing was too much trouble. The nurses seemed to know in advance when you wanted any help, which was often. I was in for three nights. On my discharge I was told everything I had to do and given two phone numbers in case I needed any help. I was also issued with a few things to make my recovery easier. The next help came from the physio. Again so helpful. They gave me the confidence and help to get me back to normal. My knee is still stiff and swollen but ever day is getting easier and there is not much I can not do. I want to say thank you to the consultant and every one who has helped me to get through this.
