"Lack of care and dignity on A6"

About: Warrington Hospital

I visited my uncle on this ward on a Saturday evening. Whilst there at least two people rang their buzzers for medical help. Neither buzzer was answered for some considerable time even though there were three nurses sat around a computer screen. One lady was finally dealt with after she had soiled herself because it had taken the staff so long to deal with her request for help, but by this time her female visitor was visibly upset, probably due to the lack of dignity the patient she was visiting had recieved. It was not busy on the ward but the staff seem more interested in form filling than doing actual nursing, it was left to nursing assistants to deal with.
