"appaling psychiatrists"

I shall be writing to the CEO or what ever they call themselves to formally complain about the deeply worrying lack of professionalism displayed by this service, with particular emphasis on the grossly unacceptable attitude of the medical staff.I was brought in on a 136 after experiencing a seizure, which as we all know can cause profound but brief personality changes and from start to finish their procedure for dealing with emergency assessments was appalling, unsafe, unprofessional and lacking the guiding hand of anyone who knew what they were doing. I will give much greater detail in my complaint. I will point out that I have spent 25 years working in psychiatry, and the seizure activity I believe is a consequence of being punched in the head too many times by patients. This happened because I have worked in PICUS and acute psych. all my career and have done more emergency assessments than I care to remember. I consider myself an expert and have the track record to back it up. I can say with absolute certainty that this service does not practise to an acceptable standard. Details on request. psychiatry was always a bit dodgy but at least it used to help the ill. nowadays it only helps the pharmaceutical industry, criminals and of course the dr's themselves.
