"our visits to Leighton Hospital"

About: Leighton Hospital

My husband went to A &E on march 13th with chest pain , he was seen straight away and referred to stoke and transported there within an hour where he was treated , the same evening arrived back at Leighton and admitted to ward 3 and then ward 1 where he was cared for, by the wonderful and caring staff we found everybody to be very friendly and ready to answer any worries we had , previous to my husband being admitted we had spent 2 months on ward 9 and 15 with my mum where again the care was outstanding , even the shop and cafe were good well done everyone at Leighton and thankyou very much .

Thank you for taking the time to post your positive comments on NHS Choices. It is excellent to hear that your husband received the care and support he needed during his recent illness and that you found the staff treated him in a caring and compassionate way. It is recognised that admission to hospital can be a difficult time for patients and their families and it is therefore pleasing to hear that staff adopted a friendly approach and were happy to answer any concerns. I will ensure that your lovely comments are fed back to the ward and other areas you mentioned for this admission and for your mother’s previous admission to the hospital. Best wishes Loraine Cornes, Matron, Medicine and & Emergency Care Division
