I was admitted to LRI at end of January with what turned out to be a neurological condition. Throughout my stay, mainly on a neurological ward, I experienced excellent nursing and medical care. It was impressive and reassuring to be seen and reviewed each day, including weekends, by a Consultant, each of whom displayed an in depth knowledge of my condition . Ward nurses were not just technically competent but kind and compassionate. The range of investigations I required brought me into contact with a range of other staff, all of whom were very professional and caring. As I began to recover I was also seen by other staff members, including Pharmacist, Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist and again, all were excellent. Although my condition was potentially serious, I felt at all times that the staff were totally committed to ensuring that I received the correct treatment, and at the same time communicating clearly with me and my family at all times. I am extremely grateful for the excellent care I received whilst in Leicester Royal Infirmary.
"A very positive experience"
