Parking was easy and surprised to find a very modern hospital in such an old sea side town at the end of an industrial estate. The hospital is exceptional clean and well laid out, and the departments easily located and the automated booking in system easy, although some patents were a bit puzzled as to where their barcode was. The treatment started only 5 minutes after the time of the appointment and I was even advised of the delay by a member of the team prior to the delay occurring. The procedure commenced with a very detailed explanation of what was going to happen, what could go wrong and the steps to take - I half expected them to start explaining the emergency exit procedures - this turned out to be longer than the procedure. Following the signing of the consent form, the procedure the that followed I was able to see on screen and was supported by a running commentary from the Doctor. The procedure was surprisingly painless and quick, I would compliment them on their expertise and experience. At the end I was advised again on what to look out for, should a problem arise and where to go and who to see. The treatment I received was very professional and carried out in a very clean environment. The only improvement I could recommend is that staff are instructed to request patients to use the hand wash when passing reception and going into the treatment zone, whilst watching only one patient did so, and that was voluntarily and unprompted.
