"Queens hospital Clementine Ward B"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

My sister Margaret Harris ( Peggy) was admitted to the above ward on the 7th of February 2015. Sadly she passed away in the early hours of the 15th of Feb.During her stay in the ward, her treatment could not have been bettered if she had stayed in a private hospital. The care and dedication of the core staff which passes on the non-regular staff is amazing. The sister who pops in on their days off, during the week I observed this happening twice. The ward manager so caring and efficient. The night staff who was a district nurse working on the ward was so kind to me in my sisters final hours and afterwards. I was out on the night of the 14th of Feb they rang my home until I picked up the call and was able to be with my sister until she passed.Queens hospital gets bad reports and I needed to tell this excellent teams attitude and commitment. Thank-You Christine Fowles.

I’m so sorry to hear your news, but heartened to know that your sister received compassionate care from our staff in her final days. I’m thankful to you for sharing your story with us on NHS Choices. Yours sincerely Wendy Matthews Interim Chief Nurse
