"Visit to A and E"

About: Scarborough General Hospital

I visited the department on Monday 30th March after falling on my face the night before. I was advised by friends to go the evening before but declined. There was a 3 hour wait and when I got seen it was by a nurse and I assume a student. I explained I had fallen face first the night before after being out with friends ( 2 drinks). That had left me with a cut, black eye and ringing to my left ear. I was reprimanded and spoken to like a child for attending A and E and asked why I didn't go to my GP. My friends told me the doctor would send me to A and E anyway as they have the facilities to investigate. I was informed that it was a 4 hour wait and I was wasting valuable time, which I would never do. That has now left me in a position where I will never visit that department again ...regardless....as I can honestly say I have never been so humiliated. I did leave after saying I would not waste any more of her time. It's not what you say it's how you say it . There is no excuse to be rude or make someone feel stupid ever
