"A day at A/E"

About: King George Hospital

Came to A/E to bring mum in for her chest pain. A/E too cramped, if you had the seats next to toilet - very unlucky. Long wait to see the medics and once the 4 hr was up transferred to another ward to languish even longer wait for information or to see doctor or go home. Empty beds and no sign of medics . Keep going up to nurses station only to be told doctors will come round when they are ready .

Thank you for your comment. I’m sorry you and your mum had to wait a long time to be seen. As part of our Improvement Plan, we are working hard to make sure our patients are seen as quickly as possible. However your constructive comments are appreciated as they will help us to make further improvements. Yours sincerely Wendy Matthews Interim Chief Nurse
