My dad was admitted to cubicle 17 on the majors unit on 1.4 2015 following a fall at home.I cannot fault the staff on the unit, from the Consultant who assessed him, the qualified nurses who attended to him, and the lovely student nurse who also helped him. The domestic was also lovely and friendly. He was swiftly diagnosed with a chest and urinary infection following a very thorough assessment and explanation from the Consultant. He was prescribed antibiotics and discharged. The only slight fly in the ointment was the time taken for patient transport to get him home, but that is life. Also need to mention the lovely porter who took him from A&E to the discharge lounge. I am a retired nurse, as is my dad, and we were both very impressed with the excellent care he was given. Well done to all on duty Wednesday morning in majors 12 to 20.. My dad is feeling much better today thanks to your care and attention.
