What I liked

I was a patient at the Dermatology unit with basal CA. I was treated on the 19th June using the new Mohr's Microsurgery . I had surgery then repeat surgery and the test results on the same day. An all clear verdict with a 99% success rate This alone is to a patient worth more than the cost . Having liaised on that day and at follow up appointments with other patients who have( and have not) had this treatment. I am sure that patient recovery times and stress levels due to not having to wait days for results and follow up skin grafts have improved greatly. By using this technique patient satisfaction must increase in time and be beneficial to patients and staff. Perhaps you can advise whether this is a permanent procedure for future treatment. or whether it is a partly funded project. I am sure other patients awaitng treatment would like to know.

I have written a letter to the local paper regarding this new treatment so that other patients/local residents are aware of it's existence.

I can also add that the Consultant and staff delivered this procedure were excellent in an informative, professional and caring environment, well done. Could we have some feedback regarding this procedures continued use. Thankyou once again

What could be improved

No improvement needed. just confirmation that this procedure will continue for future patients and that my comments reach the highest level on management

Just a comment that when refereed by my GP to the Dermatology, unit the response times information given and back up services were excellent with contact information at all times available. Thankyou
