"Day Procedures Unit - Gastroenterology"

On 31st March I attended the Day Procedures Unit at Solihull Hospital for a Colonoscopy test. I was worried about having the test but the skill and expertise of the doctor and staff put me completely at ease. I elected to have mild sedation and experienced no more than brief, slight discomfort. I was kept well informed during the test and included in any discussion. Afterwards I was taken to a rest area and subsequently advised of the results and given a written report. The department appeared to have a heavy workload but I was treated with the utmost patience, care and kindness throughout. The following day I received a follow-up phone call from one of the staff asking if all was well. I cannot speak highly enough of the treatment and courtesy I received from start to finish. We are lucky to have the NHS and its dedicated staff! My thanks to all.
