"Late Father's care"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

I was not particularly impressed with the conflicting information that was given in regards to my Late Father's care. He was transferred to King's College Hospital for an operation ot brace his spine as an aggressive tumour had caused a fracture and he was at risk of becoming paralysed. Before the transfer one of the Dr's advised that a biopsy would be done while my Dad was under the anaesthetic so they could then decide on treatment options. The biopsy did not happen as KCH advised they were not instructed to carry one out and that my Dad's records did not show that he had an oncologist assigned to him. My Dad was then not given any options in regards to his treatment/care and it felt like he had just been written off by the two hospitals. I feel that this was due to bad communication between MMH & KCH which is not acceptable.
