"hospital feedback"

About: Wansbeck Hospital

I was admitted to Wasbeck in February to be induced at 39 weeks pregnant, although my I didn't have my baby girl until two days later the midwifes were absolutely fantastic and nothing was too much trouble even when they were super busy. I had an emergency c section after my baby was distressed and was not agreeing to labour. My midwife was fantastic and also the student midwife in my labour also deserves a mention as they were so professional. My baby was admitted to SCBU a few hours after my section due to low blood sugar levels and the staff there also deserve a mention, they go above and beyond the call of duty. I would not hesitate in telling friends and family to use this service in he future as they were absolutely brilliant.

Response from Wansbeck Hospital

Many congratulations Lori on the birth of your wee girl. Hope you are both thriving and enjoying these very precious early days together. Thanks for taking the time to pay tribute to the maternity team at Wansbeck - your lovely feedback about staff who routinely go the extra mile will mean everything to them. The care you describe : safe and high in quality but delivered with kindness and compassion is everything we aim to achieve every day, every time. Delighted we got it spot on for you and your little one, because it sounds like you both had a bit of a tough time ? Our services will be moving to the brand new emergency care hospital The Northumbria in June which we hope will provide us with even more opportunities to offer Mum's the choice and support they need as they deliver their babies. we will carry your lovely endorsement of our staff with us. Thanks and best wishes, Annie
