What I liked

My baby son has been a patient at the day surgery unit on two occasions this year.

I have been very impressed with the care and consideration given to my son and myself at what could have been a distressing time.

We were invited to visit the unit before to have all our questions answered and the same nurse met us on the morning of the surgery. It was great to see a familiar, friendly face.

The surgery team were amazing with the aneasthetist and surgeon both talking to us personally before and after surgery.

The aftercare by the nursing team was also great. I was honestly touched by the compassion showed to my little baby.

What could be improved

I was pleased with the entire experience.

Thank you. I have had two complicated births at Treliske and my youngest has had two operations and I cannot thank the staff enough.
