"children's a&e"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

I had to attend children's a&e with my 4 year old and her broken arm. the arm was very nearly a compound fracture and she had also dislocated the other bone. She was taken to theatre where a rod was inserted to stabilise the bone and the other bone relocated. the care and compassion both my daughter and I received was second to none. I cannot fault the staff who were on duty both that night and the following morning. Their diligence and care meant that was could have been extremely traumatic for my daughter was not frightening and, although she needs to have more surgery to remove the rod, she is recovering very well.
