I had elected Breast Reduction Surgery on the 24th February 2015 at Royal Berkshire Hospital and from my very first appointment with my surgeon, I had the sense that I was under great care. I was admitted on the day of surgery to the Sonning Ward and all of the nursing staff that cared for me during my stay were fantastic and caring and I cannot not praise them enough. I was treated with dignity and respect by all of the staff. I would like to say a special thank you to two nurses who have a great bedside manner and are born nurses. All of the theatre and recovery staff were lovely and put me at ease. I cannot comment on the food as I only managed some toast but all of the other patients seem to thoroughly enjoy all of their meals. Now for a comment about my surgeon. I would advise anyone that, if you are ever lucky enough to be elected into their care, jump up and down and be extremely grateful, as you will have an extremely talented, dedicated surgeon looking after you, who prides themself on their work and results, and always puts their patients' physical and psychological interests at the forefront of their decisions. They have changed my life and I cannot thank them enough. I can only praise all at Royal Berkshire Hospital and was bowled over by the quality of care. It was fantastic.
