"What a nightmare!"

About: Leicester General Hospital

After being booked in for an endoscopy and colonoscopy I was seen after 8 weeks of waiting! only had the endoscopy as I didnt react well to the bowel flush so had to have that rebooked, which was fair enough. Most of the staff were lovely and explained everything but two members of staff seemed rude and uncaring. I have been trying to change my appointment for four days and have made around 50 calls but there is either no answer or the lines busy! Getting very frustrated! on my letter if you do not show up to the appointment then you are struck off yet trying to change your appointment is pretty much impossible!

Dear Amy, Thank you for taking the time to post your comment. We are really sorry to hear about your experience at the General. This does not reflect the level of service we expect our patients to receive and it is unacceptable for our staff to be rude and uncaring. We would like to investigate your concerns further so we can improve our service for future patients and help you change your appointment. If you are happy for us to do so, please send your details (name, address, date of birth and hospital number) to me by emailing michael.nattrass@uhl-tr.nhs.uk. Kind regards, Michael Nattrass Deputy Head of Operations Leicester's Hospitals
