"St. Makes and Tolgus Wards"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

I was admitted to hospital on the 9th March 2015 with very severe back pain. After a time in A&E and it's side ward I was taken to St. Mawes ward then moved to Tolgus Ward. I can only say that the nurses, doctors, Mitie staff were all brilliant. They were all so caring and made sure that I understood what my problem was and how they were treating it. One observation I would like to make. I know the nurses were very busy but some of them did not use the hand wash between each patient. There was only one Staff nurse who used medical wipes on the blood pressure and pulse items. I did say to them that they were the only one who had done this. Otherwise I must say Tolgus Ward was brilliant especially as it is on the fourth floor and I was in a bed (2a) next to the window and was able to see the eclipse. My very grateful thanks to all the staff on Tolgus and St. Mawes Wards for looking after me so well. I was in for fifteen days and their care and tolerance was superb. I hope you pass these comments on to them. Many thanks. Diane Adams
