"admitted by ambulance to a&E majors on 26.03.15"

About: Southampton General Hospital

"I was brought into A&E by ambulance to the majors section,Thursday evening, because of shortness of breath and leg pain! Because of history of thrombopilia and multiple dvt's was decided by ambulance crew to take me in to a&E for checking!"I found all medical and nursing staff very professional! But also very caring and courteous!plus reassuring! They are all tops!as far as I'm concerned!I was moved to cdu 2 and then to amu 3 again excellent care and courteous to me! Scans and bloodwork done!was very pleased and relieved to be given all clear! Only old residue dvt vein damage showing in my left leg! So was discharged from amu3 yesterday afternoon!just wish to say big thank you to the doctor and their team radiology scanners and xray and all nursing and ancillary staff both in a&E cdu2 and amu3 plus hardworking behind scene workers in pathology and pharmacy! I give sgh 5 stars!

Thank you so much for your very positive comments about the care you received and the staff you came into contact with when you attended the hospital last week. It was kind of you to comment on and remember the 'behind the scene workers' as all the staff rely on each other and work as a team in order to deliver the great '5 star' care you describe. Your comments will be shared with the teams you mention who are always encouraged and pleased to receive feedback such as yours.
