"Wonderful Ward 14"

After a surgical procedure on my lower leg I was transferred to Ward 14 where I was cared for, nine days of wonderful nursing. The pain management was first class, the epidural was checked often during the day & the anesthetic level controlled so that I was never uncomfortable, even having a good nights sleep. The nursing staff were always bright & cheerful even on night duties. My surgeon & anesthesiologist visited several times which gave me the opportunity to ask some questions, these were answered in terms that I could understand. The food was varied, well cooked, nicely presented & tasty.

Dear ‘Painfree’ I am sorry to hear that you required leg surgery but it is indeed good to hear that after your surgery your pain levels were kept well under control and that the nursing care on ward 14 was ‘wonderful’ with nursing staff being caring and cheerful. I am pleased to hear that you had regular visits from both your surgeon and anaesthetist who kept you informed and answered your questions clearly. The new plated meal service has been widely praised by many patients and it is good to know that you also found the food to be varied, well cooked, nicely presented & tasty; I will make sure the catering department are informed of your comments and pass on your kind words to the sister on ward 14 to share with her staff.
