What I liked

The new part of the hospital was clean.

What could be improved

The entrance to the hospital is awful (tower block) With smokers leaving their buts everywhere! they should be escorted off the premisis by car park security who only seem to stand about texting on their phones.

Anything else?

The cardiology department i visited was ideal. Moral seemed low amongst the cleaners and their attitude was much to be desired.

The staff nurses were exceptional, some definately worked harder than others! There seemed to be a lack of professionalism amongst the sisters, everything just seemed to be a "laugh"!

Many thanks for taking the time to post your experiences. The Trust is aware of the problem caused by people smoking outside the entrance to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and is continuously seeking ways to move smokers on or persuade people not to smoke outside the main entrance - it is an ongoing difficulty.

Your comments about the cardiology department will be shared with the detpartment, and we are very pleased that you found the nurses generally 'exceptional'.
