I was referred to the physiotherapy team with right arm mobility problems following surgery for breast cancer. The simple task of getting dressed had become difficult. My physio assessed the the range of movement and devised some simple exercises to work on. As the weeks progressed, my mobiliy improved, and the exercises increased to ensure that different arm movements were all being targeted. As well as flexibility, strengthening exercises were also incorporated, and I was given resistance bands and sponges to work with at home. Our sessions were always good humoured, and I was treated with care and compassion throughout. Six months on, my right arm is almost as good as new, and I really can't thank my physio and the rest of the team at Mount Vernon enough for all their hard work.
"Excellent care"
