Medical treatment excellent, staff mainly pleasant and friendly, consultants first-class. The staff are over-worked but seldom let it show in their manner. General care and cleanliness very good. Improvements - when really unwell, visitors can be very tiring and hours too long. The food is AWFUL - AND i DEFY ANY SICK PERSON TO KNOW WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO EAT TOMORROW! As for having to eat the meal the last person your bed ordered, words fail me. The use of a microwave and a kettle on the ward would be wonderful. COLD drinking water would be heavenly. Forbid any nurse to say: 'I'll be back in 5 minutes' - we all know this means ages'/ Most of us are not used to sleeping in the middle of a busy railway station - silent shoes, doors shut when possible and nurses' stations kept quiet would be a help. But these are niggles - I have spent some considerable time in various wards at Warwick Hospital - and I would strongly resist being sent anywhere else. So thank you, Warwick - your life is not easy and mine has been saved and improved by your efforts. I am truly a grateful patient.
