"Cataract Operation 14 February 2015"

About: Nuffield Health, Ipswich Hospital

Arriving somewhat anxious (at 82 yrs old) to have a cataract operation on a Saturday, I was soon greeted and reassured by an excellent Nurse who administered eye drops, and then explained the procedure for the morning - made comfortable in the waiting room, and was greeted again an hour later for further eye drops, and finally arriving at the operating theatre to be welcomed by the eye surgeon and friendly team - the operation was painless, and all explained carefully to me. Escorted back to the waiting room, and brought welcome hot drink and biscuits, before being allowed home with eye drops and explanatory literature of how to follow up the operation. All excellent. It was especially a pleasure to be greeted by two nurses from my home town of Framlingham. I would reassure anyone about to have this operation to have no fears of the excellence of the Nuffield in Ipswich. My thanks to all the very caring staff working on Saturday 14th February.
