"Giving birth prematurely"

About: Watford General Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

Gave birth to son 4 weeks early. Watford triage gave reassuring advice and did not dismiss us. Delivery ward was efficient and we were well looked after.

Eventually the decision was made for an emergency c section (which we believe was the right decision) so as not to risk health of baby.

Baby delivered safely and mother and baby admitted to transitional care ward due to prematurity of baby. The treatment on this ward was second to none. Could not have wished for me if we had gone private.

The nursery nurses who look after the babies are all so dedicated, knowledgable, and caring. Always felt 100% reassured when in their care.
