"Long wait for an appointment however the treatment was very good"

About: Shropshire and Staffordshire Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

My story in three stages

1) GP experience very good with a positive diagnosis

2) A wait of nearly 3 months before an appointment for treatment (very poor)

3) Once an appointment had been secured, treatment was very good and is currently on-going

Thank you for sharing your comments relating to your recent experience.

I am sorry that your wait for an appointment was longer than expected.

Unfortunately, the appointment capacity at hospitals is outside TRAQS control as we can only offer appointments when they have been released for booking by the hospital.

TRAQS will always offer a patient the first available appointment but we do realise that not everyone can travel further for an earlier appointment.

I am pleased to note that the treatment you received was very good and that your treatment is on going.

We wish you well for the future and would like to thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with the team.
