"Appointment at the fracture clinic was wasted"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS) The Princess Royal Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Although the appointment + referral system is very good, the forwarding of results (images of MRI scan) were not available. This meant that appointment at the fracture clinic was wasted, as I now have to wait a further three weeks before any action can be undertaken.

This is in no way a criticism of Mr Fellows who examined me.

Dear Decent910

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive comments relating to your experience when booking an appointment and processing the referral.

I am disappointed that your scan results were not available in the clinic. Our understanding is that the medical secretaries at the hospitals request the results of the MRI scans before the clinic appointment to ensure that the information is available for the consultant. However, TRAQS have also taken steps to ensure that the information is available at the clinic.

Thank you again for sharing your feedback with the team.
