"Unhappy with being told test results"

About: Purley War Memorial Hospital

I had a DEXA scan at the hospital on Thursday 19th March. There were signs on the wall advising patients that they were not to ask for test results and that they could not be told the results. I had my scan and asked the radiographer what happened next, saying I was aware that they couldn't tell me. The radiographer then motioned me to the computer screen saying "I'm sure you can guess" and told me that they were worrying and that I would need to be careful and shouldn't lift anything, or run etc etc. I felt absolutely shellshocked to be told in this way and felt this should be reported. Either the radiographers can and should tell people their results or not.
