"Nothing"

About: Cheltenham General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Nothing

What could be improved

My son 13 year old son arrived by ambulance after having a seizure due to low blood sugar relating to his diabetes. We were seen immediately due to the urgency of his condition. It was dirty and blood splashed up the wall, no communication between staff and one nurse wasted valuable time looking for glucose tablets which she couldn't find and had to go elsewhere which resulted in my son's blood sugar levels plummeting further. He became confused and disorientated and started shouting so some doctor who hardly spoke English called security! The doctor obviously doesn't know the signs of hypoglycaemia! (low blood sugar) I had to tell him to sedate my son because he was getting very agitated and distressed which he did do after an hour but anyone could see it should have been done immediately. I felt like I was the doctor as he knew very little about diabetes and what to do for the best so I had to tell him.
